Vilasrao Deshmukh Passes Away in Chennai (former Maharastra chief minister)

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh is no more.
He has been suffering for quite sometime with severe liver complications. After initially being admitted in the Breach Candy hosptial in Mumbai, he was airlifted to Chennai.
The liver ailment was said to be further complicated with multiple organ failure.
There was some hope yesterday that a potential liver donor was available but the donor passed away before a transplant was possible.
Vilasrao is said to have passed away at 1.30 in the afternoon but the news was only confirmed to the media at around 3.30pm.
Vilasrao’s son Ritesh Deshmukh and the rest of his family are said to be by his side when Vilasrao breathed his last.
The Parliament session today was adjourned when the news of Vilasrao’s death came through.
